3.5 years after my birth in Paramaribo, Suriname, I left the country and set foot on Dutch soil.
On my 21st birthday (April 10, 2002), I ambitiously started my first company, Alien Emotions. I organized small-scale techno parties every month, while I continued my studies in Communication and Multimedia Design at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
During my studies, I came to understand the importance of deadlines, responsibilities, functioning under stress, political correctness, and conceptual improvements. I also learned graphic design, web development, and the application of new media fit together. I immediately put the theory I learned into practice by organizing parties.
In 2005, I sat in class listening to a lecture.
Obviously, it wasn’t important because what happened next was. During this lecture, I was as we say in Dutch “dreaming”. That moment when one stares into the abyss and connects to a higher power while paying no mind to its surroundings. Out of nothing, I got an idea! And it was great. A name popped into my mind; Mijn Webservice (My Webservice). The best part? I had all the infrastructure in place but it wasn’t making extra income as I only used it for my events. Within a day, I had a web hosting and domain registration website up and running. The software was communicating with my web server that I used to host my Alien Emotions website and the (at that time very important) picture album. It was simultaneously connected to my bookkeeping software and one of many domain name registrars available. 2 days later, I had my first customer. The web server became more of an asset and allowed me to expand and establish Mijn Webservice as an official company.
April 10, 2007 – The launch of Puck Online
A subscription-based Content Management System for medium and small businesses. For 25 Euros per month, Puck Online opened the gates for small business owners who couldn’t afford expensive websites as they needed basic functionality to showcase their business online.
April 10, 2010 – The Launch of Twizler
The online printing service for the B2B market. A collaboration was set up with a large printing factory in Germany, allowing us to offer a quality product at very competitive prices. We carved out our market share in the online printing world and increased revenue by offering this service to our existing customer base.
February 12, 2010 – The rudder was changed.
The web in its capacity is a fascinating and fast-paced world to work in. It meant significant growth. There were months where we doubled our clientele and exceeded our monthly goals far beyond what I thought we (as a team) ever could do but, I felt like there was a lack of creative expression. A hole that we didn’t fill yet so I took a good look at my business model.
April 10, 2010 – To fully express my creativity…
De Clercq Media Group was founded. I diligently started De Clercq Media Group, which, in addition to web design and web development, also focuses on graphic design and concept development for the business market. I joined all companies and created a one-stop shop for everyone who loves personal contact, creativity, and a hands-on mentality.
2012
De Clercq Media Group Inc. was formed in the USA. A strategic move for future growth.

In 2014 I took the leap of faith.
I sold a small part of the Dutch De Clercq Media Group and gave the European and Asian portfolio of clients away to those who helped me build my empire. I chose to keep the American side of DCMG and moved to the United States. Fort Myers, Florida to be a little more exact and I chose to offer the same services under one name, as a one-man empire.
August 2024 – The great migration across the nation.
I moved out of state to a location that doesn’t have hurricanes and also allows for future growth.
